Hi all, I’d like to fit a faster e46 club sport rack to my m20 320i cab but I’ve heard that there may be an issue with clearance on my exhaust. Just wondering if anyone can confirm this and if so whether a work around is available (or keeping my exhaust as is).

Afaik you must either use different engine mounts or modify the downpipe. DanThe is the guy to talk to about it

As explained above, due to the linkage moving over with the new rack this causes clearance problems with the downpipe, the old fix was to use taller/firmer engine mounts, I now make a new downpipe that solves the problem and can be used with standard engine mountings, its for the earlier more common 3 piece exhaust system and is a bolt on part.
If you have a late 2 piece system you can weld it onto the front section also
