It is with a huge degree of regret but I am having to sell my 1991 E30 convertible. I've recently accepted a job on Jersey and sadly while I cannot think of a better place to take a drive in my car, the cost/availability of storage or a garage means that my pride and joy needs to go. I've put the car up on Autotrader but would love her to find a good home so I thought I would publish the advert here too.
Outstanding 100% original BMW E30 318i Convertible with 12 months MOT with no advisories - 101,000 Miles
Good Bits - Since purchase last year, a significant investment of £2500 has been spent to service, repair and bring the car up to an excellent overall standard. The vehicle is entirely unmodified and 100% original. It has been garaged during my ownership, and the car's outstanding condition gives a good indication that this has been the case for much of its life. It had a full service a few months ago with every fluid changed and new stock suspension bushings fitted, and a host of other jobs. Two small patches of rust were fully repaired on the driver's side wheel arch/rocker panel. Alloys refurbished two years ago, new tyres, the dashboard is in excellent condition, full-service history back to mid-2000s and part history back to purchase in 1991 and original purchase receipt. The car also comes with a high-quality outdoor car cover as well.
Bad Bits/Jobs Outstanding - Small amount of rust on rear valance. The headlight height adjustment is not currently working (but I have the kit to fix it). The car could benefit from a clay bar/detailing to bring the paint back to its best; I've been to two detailers who feel they can get it back to A1 condition with a three-stage treatment. The timing belt will have only seen a few thousand miles, but if you stick to the three year BMW change, it should be due for a change next year. The driver's wing mirror has a few marks; the automatic hood has been converted to manual. That said, the car is in outstanding condition, and a real head-turner and the jobs above are simply on my list for next year rather than critical issues. Smoke-free pet-free, Recent MOT.
