45mm front strut external thread.

Looking for help and advice with my G reg 320i coupe. I am in the process of swapping out my old shocks and found that they are Bilstein B6. The front right was a real bearch to get out of the strut. It looks like the strut has had a knock some time ago and the shock was nipped in the strut tube. I finally managed to get the shock out and was looking for a replacement strut. Mine has the thread for the strut gland nut on the outside of the tube, not on the inside like all the rest I have seen. Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a strut with external gland nut threads. Any help would be greatly appreciated. All the best, Michael
