morning folks.

if anyone is looking for a weighted leather gear knob (that doesn't cost £100+) then have a look at weighted knobs on ebay.

i've just got myself a mushroom style (m-tech 1 sport) weighted gear knob from them for £63 incl p+p.

the leather is very soft & subtle & it weighs in at a hefty 7.3oz (210+ grams),
for the price you can't go wrong.

they supply push on & screw on knobs for everything form the E9 up to the E90 & include hartge (the one i got), alpina, acs, ///M etc.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WEIGHTED-GEA ... 2749.l2649
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.

I've been looking at these - do they actually feel very different to use?

yes they do, they can feel a bit top heavy but best when combined with a short shifter & dssr (i've got a B&M short shifter & garagistic dssr & the weighted knob removes the notchiness from the dssr & S/S.

Ah OK. I've got a Z3 1.9 shifter to go on when I can find time so I may buy one for when I get it done. Thanks, dude :)

It's slightly narrower at the top than standard & slightly taller as well but feels pretty good in the hand.

Also the weight is pretty good at 7.3oz.

I'm happy with it.

Cheers mate, doesn’t look too bad. I think I can live with that need the weight increase!

Is the Hartge logo not printed correctly or is that just glare?
