So it seems that there’s a bit of a section in the front wheel arch where I think there should be a trim but isn’t?

Could it be 51711943829 and 51711943830 (Cover, wheel housing ) that the car is missing?

Note I’m not talking about the bottom of the engine for which I have sourced 51711922249 (Engine compartment screening) already but not fitted.

Thanks!

I think its this , is the connector (yellow for the OBC temp sensor . I'd get a price form Coldswold before purchasing from this ebay seller who's prices are very often higher than the main dealer

Thanks for this. Much appreciated.
Interesting. So this also means there’s a pair of brake ducts that’s missing too!

Well, the plot thickens. They apper to be for plastic bumper (facelift) models. Mine's a pre facelift cab so probably not the right part.
The search continues.

I fitted those parts to my Cabby a while ago - they were missing as well as the engine under tray - I'll look if I can see the part numbers -
not sure if its the same part for yours - mine is a 1990 chromie.

Now I remember!! - it was the under engine screen that includes the side fillers Part 10.

Thanks Paul. I’m now convinced that it’s the engine undertray. I have one at home to be fitted. The sides look like they’ll go in the wheel arches.

Yep, thats correct...it will fill that gap....Having done this recently...remove the front lip from the car..5 screws in front and the clips to the lower front wings, one each side...fit the screen and finally offer up the lip and fit as it has slots for the location flaps on the screen panel...it's a bit of a pig.

Another point - you can only find new under engine screens for cars with Aircon- the fit is identical to non - aircon items, except it has an extra cut - out for the pump pully - no biggy -
you can use it without any problems - and fitting this seriously reduces the crap that gets into the engine compartment from the road.

Thanks for the tip. Much appreciated. I drove from London to High Wycomb just to get a non aircon version (pictured above). Sounds like it was well worth the trip!

I’m planning to fit a new exhaust to will tackle the job at the same time.
