Finally joined the forum , after buying my E30 rally car in June last year . It has been 6 months of strip down and rebuild , and now has a K24 nestling where the 6 pot once sat . I know its not a purist thing, but hope to have some serious fun it .

I'd be very keen to hear how these drive - apparently the K24 can make pretty decent power and high RPM

Read this on the K24
Seems like one hell of a stable engine, should be interesting to see how it fairs with other engines but nice one mate !!

i'v been reading up on the K24's & what can be done with them,

seems like it could be a viable swap in the future, the septics (usa) seem to be very keen on them,

also been looking at the ford barra engine aswell.

both seem to have their merits
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.

Ahhh my dream swap is Nissan's RB20DET. I want the 2.0 rather than the 2.5 because my car is originally a B20 so the badge at the back will still be relevant haha. It was designed and built around the same sort of time as the later M20s but have 24valves and a noice turbo. (I'm not sure what the weight difference between the M20 and RB is though)

And also a good 350bhp is easily done with that engine & the exhaust is on the other side than our steering columns. (and I think they sound IMMENSE)

I know a guy from where I used to live who is building a track E30 with one of these engines in.

Any pics of the rest of the car? Be great to get a thread started in the motorsport section :D

Rich, is that the one he's strapped a turbo to?

And, as everyone else above said, please post more photos.

Looks like you've done a very clean conversion
