yes my car is being dropped off in the morning :D

after all the problems i had fuel pump/relays etc it turned out to
be none of this.

it gone put into a garage and the auto electrician was called.
he informed me that it was to do with engine management or
something and that the ecu needed remapping.

something along the lines off wrong mixture/ratio of fuel and air
it was apparently sparking but slighty before or after the fuel
so it couldnt start.

so that all got done yesterday and i rang him today and its all ready

the good thing is that i have learnt how to do a couple more things.
i got so angry with it going wrong etc but now looking back on it
you can only know more stuff bout problems with cars from experience.
that is the best way to learn, i know its only relays and fuel pump etc but before i wouldnt off had a clue

so thats another couple things i know how to do in the future and id
just like to give a massive thanks to everyone who posted useful
comments and suggestions and for trying to help a fellow zoner when
i needed it,especially brian mooore as he always has great advice.....
even if it is in technical terms that us amateurs cant understand

and heres the best bit of the deal. he said for the work a flat Ԛ£100
which im gonna pay as i just want my car back but then the bonus
of it is that he said....... "oh by the way we had a sterring wheel by
m-tech with the little badge on it and thought you would waant it on the
car as i know bmw's have m-tech."
just to be sure i said tech 1 or tech 2 a coloured stripe or is it an actual badge....... reply "na like a badge mate so ive fitted it on as it was taking up sapce so can we call it Ԛ£120?"
um yeah i think i can just about stretch to that buddy was the reply

so i bagged a tech 2 wheel and he's fitted it for Ԛ£20 winkeye winkeye

cheers again everyone

eun

You've found some kind of magic garage there I think mate. Rare to find a garage that makes you happy rather than just content.

Well done!
