Heater vents

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the flat heater vents that run along the side of the gearbox tunnel and under the seats were fitted on all cars or were they only fitted on cars with AC?

I don’t seem to have any in my Sport and would like to install them whilst I have the carpet up if they are supposed to be there.

Hi Vez,

No idea about all cars... but my 318i Touring has them and it definitely doesn't have AC.

As far as i know it was 4-door and cabbys that had them.
I fitted these to my 2-door and TBH you don't get much heat output from them.

@biffer I thought that might have been the case as it’s not like the rear seat passengers are all that far from any heat that circulates.

yeah-even on a high fan-setting i found it was only a trickle of heat made it out of these rear-vents,certaianly nothing like the hot air-blast you get from front ones.
