We had a shed load of snow yesterday in and around Leeds 8O 8O
The biggest problem were big wagons getting stuck and trying to carry on and then blocking the roads causing ****ing coas especially on the M62/M1.
I set off back home (normally 15 mins) and it took me over two and a half hours, due to the traffic stopped by trucks and not by cars like mine, 325 auto cab.
The car was absolutely superb
She went places others could not dare to go and I was not stuck once in what were extremely bad conditions up hill and down dale so to speak !!
I set off to work this morning @ 06:00 hrs , got in the car and started her up but the door would not close shut, so I got out and finally closed it ,but it would not open again.
After loaaaaaaads of de-icer ,I got in the passenger door.
I left it until it was light (bloody cold by then) and left the engine running and it finally opened @11:00 hrs in which time I did the same to the wife`s Polo which gave way after @ two hours.
Both frozen solid !!!!!!

Only the E46 cab left now.
Just got too old.

This was close of play on Friday and was still minus five then 8O , most of the snow on the road had been compacted but the snow in my back garden is @ eight inch deep and @ six inch deep in the front and was also on the road earlier.

The main roads are clear but up to a point, you have to be careful, the side roads are disgusting
We have had to go out today (for the proper reasons of course ! ) and the car was once again "Fantastic"
I wished I had thought about taking pic`s on the way home Thursday as it was really "strange" driving through places you knew so well but looked and were very different.

Will this do ? lol.

Ben

Well spotted Ben !!
E46 325 cab, my daily driver. I took the Baur off the road when I was out of work last year but hope to have her back on the road in late spring time.
We still have "some" snow on the side roads up here but at least I can get in the car lol.
The 325 is the very best car in the snow I have ever driven. (rear wheel drive, since 1977 !! )

Yes its quite involved, better to buy a used diff and have either a gripper or quaiffe unit added to that and then change it with the diff in your car. Saves having the car off the road that way

Strange. It hit’s -14 here and I’ve never had a door refuse to close due to the cold. Once you’re in, you’re in! :drive:
The Internet - It has proven to be worthless, and is nothing but a repository for perverts.
