Just bought it off ebay in the hope that it would help me maintain the car myself rather than paying my local "stealer". Not for big stuff, just oil/filter/plug changes etc.
Has anyone used it? I'm struggling to find the actual instructions on how to carry out specific procedures. Or does it not provide actual instructions on how to do the job?

hi ya. tis does give ya instructions on how to do stuff, its the only info we have in the work shop for procedure's.
if look top of screen you got 'vehicle i.d' enter that and put your chassis number or select type of car, arrow right(bottom right of screen)
on right of screen you got 'documents'. box will come up on top left.
select area of car i.e engine, then part of engine i.e sump and arrow right
you should now be looking at how to remove the sump.
hope that helps, once you play around with it its nice and easy

Doesn't seem to work.
Once I have indentified the vehicle, I get a list of documents. This list contains options such as "Service Information", "Repair Instructions", "Technical Data" and so on. If I choose "Repair Instructions" I then get a second list appear called "Main Group". In this list you have various options, such as "Maintenance and General Data", "Engine", "Engine Electrical System", "Fuel System" and so on. If I choose "Engine", the right arrow at the bottom of the screen becomes active. If I click that arrow it takes to me instructions on how to change the rear axel differential oil and nothing else! I won't give me instructions to perform any other jobs.
Where have I gone wrong?!!

once you pick 'engine' you should have another box that comes up with engine parts such as cyl head, crank, pistons, cyl head cover, cams etc
pick one and then arrow across and the screen will/should come up with a list along the lines of remove and install.....

Yeah, I got stitched with one of these too - apparently good for E36 onwards, not much E30 stuff on it.
