I'm trying to gauge if my passenger seat cables are laid out correctly as diagrams and pics I've been able to google are not conclusive.

The way that they are laid out, it only activates the seat if they are pulled UP, and it does nothing at all when I pull the lever DOWN. Is this correct? I seem to recall they worked both directions which could make sense if they were laid out differently to how they are here.

Before I go through the PITA of pulling the cables out, does anyone know if these should be different?

Thanks!

As far as I recall, the levers only release the seat back when they're lifted, and the cables are connected correctly.

Great, thank you - they may be a little stretched, will see if I can adjust or replace. Much appreciated!

Is this for a 2 or 4 door? My side lever adjusts the vertical seat height when pressed down. And the angle of the back part when pulled up.

Mine is a 4 door late model SE though so not sure if any features are different.

For a 2 door - those controls are at the base of the seat on the 2 door. These are the ones halfway up the seat to control the rear access

thanks!

Four doors don't have these cables at all. They have the mechanism that the cables are attached to, but no cables fitted.

On a 2 door the lever is used to release the catch/clip to fold the seat forward, if you want to adjust the back position you twist the knob......

Yes indeed! Makes it very tough to decide if to re-trim.

Interesting - no, my belts are plain black. Love the two-tone!
