Has anybody got any experience in fitting euro car parts wing?

It gets more complicated, I am planning to fit it to my convertible by welding on an “adapter “ plate...

Thank you very much for any input

I don’t know if it’s true but I’ve heard that pattern part panels never fit very well.

I've fitted a pattern wing to a cabriolet including welding the section in. It's perfectly possible to get a good fit but will almost certainly require work all round. On mine All top holes needed re-drilling, it needed reshaping to not foul A post and front around headlight wasn't great at first either. It would take a keen eye to spot it now though.

Its not a 5 minute job at all, most of the time the cabby wings only go at the bottom, I have bought Eurocarparts wings before just to cut the bottom section off to repair a genuine wing that is good in all other areas

Car does look amazing!
I think that a good compromise would be a good condition genuine wing from a coupe with an adapting plate..

Agreed, if I did it again I would probably get a good saloon wing and buy the pieces for the bottom from Valcas garage. I was unaware of them or they weren't available at the time and I didn't know how much work the pattern wing was going to be beforehand. You live and learn and pass the experiences on to the next guy.
