I got a new mig welder to deal with the front wing bottoms - my old welder died a death some time ago,
also 5 litres of fresh oil - ready for the next long run!
mine got brand new, still wrapped & boxed btb3 6 branch, a new weighted gearknob.
just got to wait for a dry day & i can get the manifold fitted.
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.
getting oral sex off an ugly person is like rock climbing.....don't look down ;)
Six shiny new custom 10:2 pistons to fit the forged 81mm crank and 135mm rods. Proper job
arrived just before Christmas.
Thankfully they came with 6 rings not 5
sounds interesting.............

I got a cheap and cheerful soldering iron that plugs into the cigarette lighter, which meant that my E30 got Rightclick remote central locking installed on Boxing Day (kit kindly provided by another member).
mine got some new front bumper trim, rear lights gaskets and a drivers door lock rebuild kit. Just the door lock left to do which I'll save for a rainy day

I did mine on xmas eve... except I didn't get that far because apparently I ordered the wrong repair kit.

Getting the old barrel out was pretty easy. Apparently getting it clipped back in is a bit harder though (I haven't done that part of the job yet).
My barrel was absolutely torn apart - full of metal fragments thanks to some nice lads and their big screwdriver - it was a pain getting the tumblers out.

Born on the 23 April 1990 320i Alpinweiss ll kabriolett! (SOLD BUT NOT FORGOTTEN !)
Proper Alpina-style 2.7 10.2 compression ratio but with a slight variation using the BMW squish-band design to match the original 885 head as opposed to hemispherically grinding it.
BBTB on one side, Schrick 284/272 in the middle and BTB3 on the other side with the original lightweight flywheel at the back. Bit of fettling and a couple of other bits thrown in for good measure, all balanced up, should run quite nicely

I rebuilt the barrel mate and all works as it should but I did have to remove the passenger barrel to copy the correct tumbler sequence as the same had happened to mine, screwdriver into the lock etc. Once I did that, figuring out the last few tumblers was easy (passenger side had 7 tumblers, drivers side had 11)
I now have matching locks all round and back to original

Excellent. I finished the job last night - reinstalling the lock was actually very straightforward which was a nice surprise. I now have a working drivers-side lock, and remote central locking. I just need some glass in the window and I'll be secure again

Sound job, very satisfying when things go smoothly
