Hi All,
I've finally got hold of my dads 1988 E30 320i - only taken me 30 years!
She's not been the best loved, has rusty panels, worn carpets, scratches galore, needs a darn good tune-up and service, plus an annoying electrical fault that means the battery has to be disconnected if left for more than a day - but with only 75K on the clock she is barely run in!
I shall be back for more advice and guidance!
Thanks,
Rupert
Finally!

Welcome mate. Sounds like you've been looking forwards to owning that car for a while!

Here are a few pics of the start of the journey with my E30...
I've already replaced some of the damaged interior parts, door handles, rear ashtray, worn out gear stick gaiter, etc. I've also picked up some nice bottle-top alloys to replace the steels.

Your dad certainly did like a bit of black 'race tape'
Looks like the rust has gotten through to the 'jacking point as well on that front wing. Nice project though! Keep the steel wheels, they do have some value!
