Which CPS?

Hi all,
My CPS (crank position sensor) on my 1989 325i is past it's best (cables brittle and knackered) and I think its probably due a replacement as preventative maintenance.
My question is which one to buy to by and where from?
I know I can obviously get one direct through BMW but, in my experience you can usual find OEM parts far cheaper elsewhere, just without the BMW stamp and Part No. (sometimes just filed off too lol)
I had a quick look on the bay' and there is a Meyle on for around £35.
So is this one okay? I don't particularly want a "budget" version as IMHO, you buy cheap, you buy twice....

Any thoughts or feedback would be much appreciated!

Sorry forgot to mention that its the motronic 1.3 version with the single mounted CPS at the front of the engine

OE one seem to be cause less issues and they are very reliable. id buy genuine

I've seen Bosch ones for the same price as Meyle as Febi

I know this is an old thread but to anyone else considering the same, having had more than my fair share of crank position sensor issues over the last 10 years with mine I would categorically recommend you stick with original BMW, yes it might cost three times (or more) than a cheap one but cheap sensors simply do not last (from experience) anywhere near as long as the genuine BMW crank sensors, I've no idea why this should be as it's not a complicated item, it's just the way it is for some reason. The last one I bought was a Hella from Amazon, you'd think Hella were a good brand but nope, it had a plastic 'nose' unlike the metal one of the original and the connector plug was on the wrong way round so it didn't clip into the retainer, it only lasted 18 months (and had very little use in that time)

Also, consider the inconvenience of the car not starting one day v the extra £100 or so on the genuine part...that you will inevitably end up buying anyway.

I agree with the genuine parts. Also through experience of buying cheaper parts. There just crap.
I don’t know if I agree about some brands being no good, such as hella. Think this might be more to do with huge numbers of fake parts out there in places like eBay and Amazon.
I think if you buy hella or febi from a decent well know supplier you might find that it’s worth it.
Some things on amazon etc with seller names like eucarpartz1 (just an example) tend to have rubbish customer service and very cheap prices on known brands.
