I wonder if anyone has experienced this little problem. The car was running just idling happily when all of a sudden a plume of steam emanated from under the dashboard and passenger footwell . So I guessed it was an issue with either the water valve or pipes into the cabin. as it transpires the heater matrix had spilt , but not the fins/pipes but the plastic casing at the one end of the radiator, As you can see in the image a section of plastic has broken away and the opposite a face had a split and would have done the same if the first piece hadn't failed. It not the easiest jobs to do and not one I wish to repeat so its a new matrix and new O rings for the valve pipes ,I am tempted to replace the water valve O ring as shown in the clip attached
