Does anyone think this would be good as a vacuum leak detector , dependant on the type of fluid used

From a distance
I've tried the hair dryer method using a piece of lint soaked in baby oil which served both purposes of creating the smoke ( loads of it ) and low pressure blowing it into the aperture of the throttle body but I couldn't control the heat aspect and burnt out the wire element . I have thought of going down the route of building my own via Youtube which is simple enough ,but I came across the smoke machine and just wondered for the price it wouldn't be so heath robinson in design and everything's in place to create the smoke , I just need to find a way of pressuring the output .
