Yes it probably is or it is a 731 head that has had the same work done to it

Thje C1/1-2.3 used the standard M20B23 as its base. That had a "731" head.

Alpina used to "hemispherically" grind the head which this has had done

The C1/1 and 323i were made before 1990 so "MADE IN W.GERMANY" is right too

Hard to tell with no valves but the seats do look bigger than standard (only talking about 1mm on the radius)
