Hi,

Is anybody aware of an alternative to the OEM non insulated female connectors used for the dash switches? PN is 61131358924 (Contact Socket B=4,7/L=19)
I'm sure they must be a standard size but I've not managed to find anything via Google. Dealer price seems a bit excessive for what they are.

Switch blocks they're used in;

Cheers,
Dave

Good link!

BMW dealers to seem to take the piss with items such as these price wise.

That price is for each terminal isn’t it, not all 10 on the strip? That’s how BMW sell then anyway.

Not sure, thought they may have been cheaper than BMW, how many do you need?

Tyco are a major manufacturer of things like this, and used to have a factory just up the road from me , where my son in law worked, until they moved to somewhere about seven years ago, where the locals are happy to work for 50p or so an hour.
If any of the rest of you are bored, you could remove a pin from other plugs/sockets in the E30 loom that are often required (front door loom A pillar plug, C101, etc), measure them up, and compare them with the pdf. drawings for each connector on the tyco site., then we can put the results in the wiki for all to see.
We can possibly immortalise the obliging individual by acknowledging their contribution by name in the resulting wiki article.

Ordered these to try.

Failing that, I'll hunt through the link Brian sent.

I think this is closer to spec, 4.8mm tab width, guessing really.

https://www.te.com/global-en/product-185283-1.html

Typically it's showing a no stock.

Hi Kedge,

Did the terminals you bought on ebay work?

Looking to source some of these terminals myself and that seems like the best option if they did!

Thanks,
Kedge

Nah, they were miles out, and I've not looked into this since. Think the only way to buy a small amount is cough up the BMW price.
