This car is advertised on ebay, auction ending on 3.9.20 at 5.50pm. I'd love to sell it to a real E30 enthusiast. The starting price is £7,000 with no reserve. Pictures can be seen here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-320i-E30 ... SwOF9fQ-4G
A very special 1984 BMW 320i Auto E30, it has done a genuine 27,132 miles from new and is in correspondingly excellent and original condition.
It is possibly unique, and must be seen to be believed. It was first registered on 23.3.84, so is a very early E30, with chrome bumpers and window surrounds. I bought the car in June 2011 from Guernsey where it had been all its life. There were two owners before me, the original owner who kept it until 2010, and the 2nd, who was an employee of the 1st, who inherited it.
The car was on Guernsey plates, registered 51426, until this month, when DVLA registered it in the UK, A664YEP. I have a copy of the original Guernsey registration document.
The car was always maintained by the supplying dealer, Jacksons Garage, St Peter Port, Guernsey who were and still are BMW dealers.
The service book is stamped as follows:
17.3.84 Pre-delivery check
18.7.84 Running in inspection, 1,231 miles
10.1.85 Oil service + annual check
20.1.86 Oil service + annual check, 3,720 miles
20.2.87 Oil service + annual check, 4,410 miles
12.5.88 Inspection + annual check, 5,358 miles
30.3.89 Oil service + annual check, 6,402 miles
15.3.90 Oil service + annual check, 7,689 miles
6.2.91 Inspection, 9,179 miles
24.2.92 Oil service, 10,476 miles
3.4.93 Oil service + cambelt
11.1.94 Inspection, 12,871 miles
4.1.95 Oil service
20.12.95 Inspection, 15,446 miles
9.1.96 Oil service, 16,666 miles
7.1.98 Inspection, 17,734 miles
7.1.99 Inspection, 18,780 miles
12.1.00 Oil service, 19,977 miles
3.1.01 Inspection, 20,825 miles
19.12.01 Oil service, 21,846 miles
3.2.03 Oil service + cambelt, 22,009 miles
22.12.03 Inspection, 22,784 miles
1.2.06 Inspection, 24,829 miles
6.2.07 Oil service, 25,381 miles
13.3.07 Cambelt, 25,390 miles
When I bought the car in June 2011 the mileage was 26,651. It is now 27,132. I have kept the car, as did the previous owners, in a dry garage. It is part of a small collection of cars that I am selling.
14.5.14 MOT, 26,947 miles
23.5.15 MOT, 27,052 miles
12.4.17 MOT, 27,065 miles
3.4.20 MOT, 27,130 miles
Bad points:
The water temperature gauge doesn't work
The glovebox torch is missing
The buyer will want to replace the cambelt
It has an original touch up pencil in Opal Green
It had a new exhaust fitted on 17.6.17, fuel pump on 25.8.17, and starter motor on 24.6.19.
All the tools are present in the tray - please see the photo. There is only 1 key. The original handbook is present, with supplying dealer service stamps from new up to 2007.
I've owned 3 other low mileage E30 320i over the years, including one from new. This car drives beautifully, in line with the mileage, and the engine still has its tight, not yet loosened up feel.
The car has the following factory extras, so the original owner spent a lot of money, but clearly didn't approve of in-car entertainment as none was fitted, and the car still has the factory blanking plate.
Automatic gearbox
4 doors
Power steering
Central locking
BMW Alloy wheels
Metallic paint (Opal green - a lovely period colour)
Electric sunroof
Electric door mirrors
Electric windows, 4
Mud flaps x4
Please note, there is no reserve price. There is no buy it now price. I will let the auction run to the end.
Please come and view the car, which is located just outside Chichester, West Sussex.
Cash on collection only please.

No bids so far
. for me that is lovely classic car, even if driven but looked after is only going to increase in value. Or buy a second hand modern car for the equivalent money which won't imo
