Can anyone recommend me a prop coupling other than OE.

I've been told there is an upgraded one you can buy but don't know where from?

And also the centre bearing (isn't available from BMW)

Thanks

I've never had an issue with OE driveshaft guibo's - was it installed correctly?

Someone else will likely chime in, but anything Febi Bilstein is usually OEM quality and probably available from the likes of ECP

Hi Kamran I remember when your car was with me that rubber coupling was cracked and perished, looked like they had fitted one that had done 100k miles +
You cant go wrong with OEM stuff

Thanks Dan & JungleGus

Sounds about right given the rest of the work.

Any ideas where I can get a centre bearing from? Or should I go with the same brands?

Cheers

Which way is that arrow pointing (by prop. bolt on the LH side) in your pic?

Managed to find them on Opieoils

No sure on that arrow? Looks to be pointing to the gearbox?

It should be pointed at the lobe of the driveshaft it's closest to - which means yours is probably backwards, which is likely why it failed

That's what I thought, but couldn't make it out well enough to be sure. It won't last long if fitted like that, unless you drive everywhere in reverse.
Opieoils is a well respected company, but do you know the make of the parts they are supplying? The advantages of Autodoc are that they list several makes for most parts, you get the make you choose, and there are discounts of 30% + if you order via their app.

I opted for the Febi Bilstein ones and have used Opieoils before many times so hopefully they'll be as described.

Finding myself correcting a lot of work thats been done, but im almost close to the day i get into the aesthetics...
