made this myself, 12inch jbl sub, 3 cuft box. 13x3 port firing to the side.
this box pretty much fills the area under the roof storage lid, but stll leaves a bit of space for junk in your boot. it also comes out if you get a flat!!

you can't really see but the sub box goes all the way back to the firewall. measure the height under there and build your box around that measurement. have the port on the side as you need it nice and long to get a deeper sound. 13inch by 3inch gives a resonant frequency of 40hz which is a harminic of all the notes so the best one to use.
if you go for an angled front like mine to save boot space but gain as much interior box volume as possible dont forget whne you mount the speaker cone the magnet may hit the floor of the box and it wont fit in! i did that first time!!
