Afternoon,guys,
am trying to remove the rear screen on my tin-top .
Have got the locking strips etc. off no problem , but glass doesn't want to budge no matter how hard i dare push from inside.
So,the question is- am i supposed to be trying to push the glass out of the seal ,leaving the rubber in the 'shell or am i better trying to force the seal/glass together out from the metalwork?

Glass out of the rubber normally. Go all around the rubber on the outside, lifting it up from the glass and adding a little soap/water lubricant. Neat washing up liquid is OK, as long as you clean it up thoroughly afterwards. Try to get some lubricant on the inside of the car as well.
Start pushing out at a bottom corner. Takes quite a bit of force to start it, but don't forget it is glass you're pushing against.
Don't forget to remove the connectors to the demister element. Do this carefully, without putting any pressure on the joint between the tabs and the glass.

.....and she's out- had to use both feet pushing on a top corner with a peice of cardboard as a bit of protection. As you say, needed a fair bit of shove to get that initial movement of the glass. Thanks for advice.
