well its either swap the engine or pay out for the rocker to be fixed can always sell the 320 engine to someone wanting a 316/318 upgrade

316/318 to 320 is not considered to be much of an upgrade.
Why would you want to change an engine just for a broken rocker?
It's easy enough to change - get stuck in!

Agreed !!!!

Dont know of anyone wanting to go the 320 upgrade, normally its right up to the 2.5.
As Brian says fix it !!!!! Best and most economical option.

You'd struggle to shift a 320i engine, even a good low miler isn't very desirable.

However the head is of use in a budget 2.7 conversion, I'd whip the head off and flog that on here then take the rest down to the scrap metal merchant.

Cheers,

If you're changing the gearbox as well as the engine from a 320i to a 325i, you'll need to change the prop as well. I've been reliably informed that the 325 gearbox has a longer casing, so as a result, the 320 prop will not fit.

Giles.
