Hi are all the central locking actuators for all the doors the same and essentially interchangeable or do you need exactly the same as replacements. Mine look the same to me except for the colour of them? Thanks

They are color coded, so you need the right ones for particuler applications.

Thanks. The only pattern I've noticed so far looking at used ones is that most the ones for the boot seem to be blue at the end, but the ones for doors seem to be more assorted but all black at the end.

I’ve recently replaced all of mine. Bloody expensive.

As already mentioned, you need to get the correct actuator for each location and they are differentiated by colours. I can’t remember off the top of my head except the blue one is definitely the boot only and the white one is the fuel flap... that ones easy because it has the locking pin on the end.

If you doing doors, work out if you have the one with later rectangular type connection that mounts on the locking mechanism or the earlier type that has more of a loop type connection and mounts to the door itself. I think your car could have either as a 1990 model.

If you have the later type, you need to remove the window to get sufficient access to remove the actuator. If they’re still the originals they’ll be attached with torx screws.

The part numbers are not easy to see on this set but look like the older type.
