Has anyone had a problem with the window hitting the roof when shutting the door.
I have tried adjusting the window runner with no luck, i have found that having a gap between the front and rear window (the runner part if ya like) works fine but it aint a fix, any one got any idea's??
Thanks
Neil

as I said in that old post, buy a Bentleys, esp if you are going to keep the car for any time...
they detail window adjustments against the hood, and hood adjustments as well. It's rather difficult to explain with just words - the have excellent diagrams.
NB if the rear window is forcing the front window into the roof, then it's the rear window that is out of alignment
Steviec - a short term solution which might work for you is always to shut the door by pushing the door window glass at the very top/rear rather than the more natural pushing of the door metal/handle area; yes that sounds confusing but try it and see if it helps.... if it doesn't then something is WAY out

there's a link on the 'Zones homepage - takes you to Amazon but the price looks wrong - I'm sure it is on sale cheaper elsewhere
don't forget every convertible ever made has compromises; the canvas roof HAS to overhang the door glass to prevent leaks, so BMW designed the window glass to be very VERY close to the roof as it closes; IIRC Bentleys says make sure the hood is aligned before you adjust the glass

I had similar prob, but adjuste it with aid of the bentleys manual, be careful not to lower too much as it will seep water through. Its going to take you some time to get it perfect..

cliffybabe - be careful with scanning and then posting; obviously that is totally against copyright.... it's possible you might get the 'Zone into trouble

you all know that you can adjust the roofline of the cab quite easily...it is not only the windows that adjust
