Restoring my tech2 sport and can’t get rear inner or rear inner outer arches as they are NLA and I’m tore in two minds whether to hold out and hope they come back into production or try and get them fabricated so I was wondering if anybody had much success getting them made up from scratch?
Was also wondering If the tech 1 inner outer would fit the tech 2 as I may be able to get some Tech1 arches?

have a look at e30 garage norway, they make a lot of NLA body panels for the e30.
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.

I made them.
Both rears where rotten, made inners from a strip of steel, cut and shaped into a curve.
Welded it back in place.
No rear axle on, so you can get inside arch allmost.
Bought 1 outer lip.
Looks good now cant tell.

That’s for prefacelift models so I’m not sure if they would fit, maybe some modification and it could fitsteve_k wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 11:16 amvalcas garage have got an inner/outer wheel arch on their site

Does anyone know if there is much difference in the Tech 1 inner outer arches compared to the Tech 2 arches or even if there is much work to modify them to fit?

Talking about Tech1 and Tech2 is just going to confuse matters, there is nothing special about Tech1 and Tech2 other than the plastic bolted to them.
Better off talking about Facelift (FL) and Pre-Facelift (PFL) like everyone else does.
The FL rear arch sits about an inch lower than the eariler PFL so I can almost guarantee the outer arches won't fit, inner ones have more chance but there are differences there too as PFL cars did not have the space to fit the battery there.
However as the FL arches are NLA from BMW and not yet made by Valcas or E30GN I would say a set of PFL pannels may be a better starting point than a sheet of flat tin given the compound curve required,

How did you get on with this? I'm in the same predicament and came up with the exact same search results you have when trying to find an OSR inner wheel arch - im circling the drain of a shell cut and patch it in at the moment..
