Hi, Anybody had issue of fan catching coolant pipe and waring thru it. Fan look clear when stationary, but can it flex when moving. Changed 3 times now, thought originally dodgy pipe.

M20 engine? Pipe should be clipped to the engine lifting bracket.

Done that with a tie clip, looks clear when stationary, did 150 miles yesterday and pipe seems to have some wear on pipe now, but still clear. Think I will change fan. I assume fan only goes on one way at first I thought I had put in wrong way when I changed viscous coupling,

Do a careful check of the condition of the engine mounts - check that the rubber block and the top and bottom plates are actually attached to each other.

No obvious movement on engine, mounts look ok, I’ve put another cable tie on hose and will monitor
