Hi All,

I need to replace a few gaskets, so interested in which brands are considered the best option for the following;

Rocker Cover
Sump
Exhaust Manifold.

Cheers,

To be honest never done much piecemeal work, always bought a full set, never had a problem with an Elring gasket.

Goetze are the other make I would use, some say they are better for some things like head gaskets.

Same company as Goetze for a while now, not sure it is the same product though. They have good MLS gaskets

I always thought VR were the ones to get but it does seem Elring are the ones of choice these days.

I got sent a Victor Reinz head gasket by Autodoc last year when I ordered the Elring. Needless to say it went back (they did swap it without question)

This was posted in another thread but it follows my thoughts on the VR gasket. I am going to get a Goetze one here one day to compare out of interest but it is not as easy to get different thicknesses of Goetze.

I know that you've already ordered it but Cometic have a large range of thicknesses for the M20 engine. They are multi-layer steel so top quality but pricey.

Have never run one personally but they are what Swiftune use for their engines (~130bhp from a 1293cc revving to 8k) so when I get around to turbocharging my M20 I'm using Cometic!! Will be massively useful being able to manipulate the CR with the headgasket.
