I've just looked at the wiki. Why does it suggest buying Z3 shoes?
Just that they are cheaper?
Thanks!

Nobody? I need to order some new shoes
Though I don't need to go anywhere at the moment, I don't like having the car in bits. I always think I'll forget where everything goes back

I've ordered a set anyway.
The E30 specific Pagids were slightly cheaper today than the Z3 specific Pagids, so I went E30.

I don't do many miles, the last set was on at least 17 years, still had meat on them, but they just fell apart as I was doing a preventative maintenance of the rear.... so someone else should have your lovely set.

This was adapted from one of my posts a few years ago!
I needed new E30 handbrake shoes in a hurry, and the only thing I had to hand was a pair of second hand Z3 trailing arms, and, after checking the parts against the old E30 ones, I fitted all the Z3 parts onto the E30 arms, and was rewarded with the best E30 handbrake I have ever experienced.
I offered no reasons as to why at the time, and still don't now, but given that an E30 handbrake is no more than adequate at the best of times, it's quite possible that minor tweaks were made by BMW for the new model.
