Hi,
I have a question regards the need for using the Vibration Damper on the Propshaft with M52 swap. I am using M20 325 Propshfat with a M42 gearbox, with the vibration damper attached it does not fit as it hits the gear linkage. When I checked the M52 prop shaft that does not have a vibration damper.

My question is the vibration damper required or can I delete this from the propshaft?

Any help greatly appreciated.

It was supposedly required with just the early rubber couplings, but still continued to be fitted long afterwards simply because no one authorised its deletion.
Make sure that the bolts have enough thread to fully tighten without it.

I have fitted the bolts from the M52 propshaft which are long enough and the nuts fully tighten without the damper.
