Hey everyone, as a new member who’s been asking for help on the forums recently, I thought it’s about time I showed you guys what I’m actually working On..

Specs:
(Bought completely stock)
1991 318i LUX Cabrio
Laguna Green Metallic
Pearl Beige Leather interior
Manual
191,000 miles
15” BBS Alloys
Some crappy aftermarket radio

My project aims for anyone interested:

(All of which will be carried out at various points over the course of the year)

1.) M40 318i -> M20B25 engine swap
2.) Shocks, springs and bushings replacement
3.) Strut brace and cross brace fitting
4.) E46 purple Tag steering rack upgrade
5.) Minor rust and paint repairs
6.) New OEM exterior trim replacements (plastic bumper bits, grilles etc)

Apart from the black I can`t "pronouwnse" (mine) this is the best colour ever, maybe apart from calypso red, or Alpine 1
What a lovely car !!!!

Mart.
Only the E46 cab left now.
Just got too old.

Thanks Mart!

I do love this interior and exterior colour combo, so much so that I went to pick up the car from east London during lockdown 👀

Is there a problem with the roof? It doesn't seem to be fully down?

Yep, it should fully retract under the cover - check that it is folding in the right places.

Is it a manual roof, or electric?
Mine is the only "working, electric " roof I've ever actually seen.

No issues with the roof, just a coincidence that I took a picture with it not completely down 😅

Nice to know you have a good electric roof... I wouldn’t mind one 👀😂

Welcome.

Very nice!
Also - I's suggest replacing the 4 spoke with a 3 spoke sport wheel, or even better, a Mtech 2.
Make you feel less like driving a bus.

Get it running to how you'd like it to look and handle, drive it, and then think about your engine swap.

Also, sure it's pearl beige interior?
Looks like Natur from the pics.

You can pop your VIN into a few online decoders and it will tell you exactly what the car came with.

I think you might be right...the upholstery code came out as 0382 - which I think is Natur
