i have a 325i and an e28 2.8 to my disposal whats the mix and match status i read some threads on here very long time ago about the 2.8 parts been used with the 2.5...
any ideas otherwise the e28 is going go the scrapyard!

I think you mean the 525e engine, which is a 2.7 not 2.8
The 2.8 engine in the e28 was an m30 engine and the 2.5/2.7 is a m20 engine.

yeh its a E28 528i.... going to be scrapped unless theres some use for the engine which is as strong as!

If it's not a 525e or 528e it's no good for the conversion.

oh well... shame to see such a powerhouse go to waste... i thought i could mix n match some parts onto the 325i but i see you need the E versions!
