Working in engineering as though nothing has happened, to be honest most people we speak to that aren't in an office are doing the same.
Found out today that we will be classed as essential anyway because part of the work is making castings indirectly for Network rail, British Steel and Highways England

Same here mate !!
Five on the late shift tonight as it`s "easier to keep the distance" my arse !!!
Just a matter of time now .
The roads are always quiet coming out of the centre of Leeds at 22;00 hrs but 13 mins home is a record and no limits broken.
Mart.
Only the E46 cab left now.
Just got too old.

Stuck in doors until 13th April, at least here in Spain where they are bloody serious about the emergency measures, 45 km away from my 'shed' and I can't drive there, getting stopped, (by cops or troops with guns!) could cost me 600€ and sent home (or arrested).
Social distancing is strictly imposed and supermarkets and chemist have new plastic screens on the tills, staff are al kitted out with gloves and masks, markers on the floors to indicate distancing both from till/counters and each other, security guards handing out gloves and sanitizer at door and only allowing so many in, can't get in unless someone leaves first. In the UK it is only just beginning.
All the parts are here now to repair my E30 plus a new radiator and a dash on the way as soon as the seller can get out of the UK to his home in France. So frustrating!

And perhaps more unsettling was the pandemic exercise 'event 201' held in October 2019

i'm stuck in 100% isolation for the foreseeable on account of my wife's medical condition, but otherwise it's business as usual on the work front. I'm doing some extensive renovation work on a 5 bedroom property, and the commute to work is about three metres. I saw the shutdown coming a couple of weeks ago, and 'panic bought' enough building materials to keep me occupied for a few months at least.

Nothing much entertaining watching someone nail down 250 square metres of very small natural slates - about 5000 of them.

Think from certain places you can still get the materials delivered.Cloggy Saint wrote: ↑Thu Apr 02, 2020 2:00 pmI wish I had your foresight. I've got a ton of jobs to do in the house and garden but no materials.

Been off work today and will be tomorrow as I hurt my back on Wednesday "doing things around the house !!!!! " after work.
It`s normally pretty quiet driving in to Leeds @05:30 but this week has been silly.
Hope to do some jet washing this weekend ,back permitting.
