Hi need some help !
I a 525e , thats not been used for a long time , and a change of plans , need to put it back on the rd.asap
I ve Just fitted a 731 (ported out head) with 325 i cam / inlet manifold / injector s / and throttle body , in an 1988 F reg 525e, honed the block , new stem seals lappped in valves belt water pump etc ,
its got the early motronic 2 row of pin s ECU
the car starts and revs well but having troulble with getting it to idle i ve swopped the idle valve with a good'en of my E30 , no change ,
swopped the air flow meter ( with a e325 i type ) this got it to idle ,only if you bring the revs down slowly with the throttle , if you stab it , quicky it dies . ( full temp), it appears to idle better in gear (D) than in park or N
i ve set the micro switch up on the TB so its just clicks as u apply any throttle ?
if you start it from cold it will idle at 500 rpm roughly, what to check next temp sensors ?, etc ?????
