Hey zone,

Battery has been going flat every week if I don’t charge it. Got out the multi meter and traced it to fuse 21. I was getting a draw of about 150mA. Removed the radio and it dropped to 30mA.

Is there an issue here With wiring or is my radio just not built for this old car? It’s a new Sony DSX-A400Bluetooth.

Googled up the installation instructions to see if there was any clues. Is the 'warning' on page 3 relevant? https://fccid.io/AK8DSXA400BT/User-Manu ... Manual-1-2

Is this what you meant? That’s interesting I’ve never noticed that in the settings! I’ll set it up tomorrow. I did however switch the red and yellow wire around behind the radio and the draw dropped down to 30mA - so I guess that’s fixed it?

That's the warning I'm referring to.
Yellow should be to a permanent live source, and red to one that's switched by the first position of the ignition switch (purple or white on an E30)

Okay good to know - I thought it might be something to do with these two wires as in the past switching them over has fixed things.
