I've seen a set of E30 aluminium wishbones for sale. From my perspective for the race car I am interested in them as a weight reduction exercise. I seem to remember them being a reasonably popular part back in the day when these sorts of parts were hugely expensive. Just curious if anyone knows what the difference in weight is between them and standard wishbones?
TIA

Just looking at Real OEM it has the steel wishbones at 3.7kg and the aluminium ones 1.9kg. I guess not many people weigh their parts but are they figures mostly accurate?

sounds about right, as a rule of thumb going to alloy means half the weight as you dont get the full ratio of density saving due to needing to make them beefier.
