I have been searching for an O/S front wing (OEM 41351941872) for a good while with no success. Is it possible to use a saloon wing with a new section added at the bottom where it meets the sill ? BMW have advised these cab wings may not be available for 2 years.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike.

Yes it is, there was a post very recently about exactly the same issue. I did mine a couple of years ago. I cut the existing bottom off the new 2 door wing and added a piece in between with one of the joints under the lower trim on a chromie. This was to maintain the bottom mounting and drain holes to avoid more complex fabrication work. Not the greatest photo of the area but it's all I have .

To save a lot of fabrication, these guys produce well made cabby wing bottom sections:

I've bought from them - totally fine.

and they are available here:

and in Poland for 375 euro...

might be helpful.... depends on desperation level!!

Have to admit I'm way too tight for that price but the repair sections seem ok🤑

That is really helpful and gives me some options to work on. Appreciate those thoughts.
Mike.
