Dark side of the moon
Moderator: martauto
I think apollo 8 was the first craft to orbit the moon and went on the permanent dark side and showed pictures of such.
How did this happen, there is no light there, did they have big "Cibies" ??

Personally I question the legitimacy of NASA (Hebrew meaning - to decieve)... not saying I know for definite their true accomplishments (or lack of) but being an agency of the US government gives me reason to question them immediately. How much of space humans have actually reached? There is a zone not far from earth called the Van Allen radiation belt which I have heard is impossible for us to pass, which would seem viable given the moon has apparently been visited only once by humans. Why have we not returned? I'm not a flat earther or anything I've just learnt to question what's fed to me through the tv!

Old thread, but I've only just seen it!
'Dark side of the moon' (apart from being one of the best albums ever) refers to the view from earth.
Where do you think the sun is shining two weeks after a full moon, when there is no moon visible from earth? The literal dark side of the moon is facing earth, and the other side, which is never seen from earth, is bathed in full sunlight.

There have been at least 6 moon-landing missions. People tend to think it's only one as the first is all that gets talked about and public interest dropped afterwards.

Thanks Cloggy I would have expected that to be common knowledge. "According" to wikipedia there have been 6 manned landings, all in the space of 3 years, between 69 and 72. It does seem strange to me that these other manned landings aren't celebrated to a similar level as the first landings, are they any less of an achievement? In fact they dont even seem to be covered in any detail at all, I couldnt have named one astronaut from the other 5 landings. NASA even admit they have lost the technology to visit the moon.Satan wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2019 4:46 pmHe's from Kent, they are an odd lot from there........Cloggy Saint wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2019 1:37 pm

The US government is an absolute farce as far as I'm concerned, look at events such as JFK and USS Liberty, 9/11 war on terror, we are taught to respect the USA and everything it stands for, but if you do your own research they are a bunch of corrupt criminals, Trump included.
If not taking everything at face value and questioning what I'm told by our so called "leaders" makes me odd then that's something I am proud to be.

Why are you worried about the US seeing as you live in the UK our home grown politicians are just as corrupt and have fucked others over massively, the UK got what it gave out and the US screwed the UK after WWII they won the war the UK lost an Empire and was on the brink of being bankrupt.tha881 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2019 10:34 amThanks Cloggy I would have expected that to be common knowledge. Clarko I can certainly say that at least when I was younger, and I think the majority of the world population also, are brainwashed into thinking the USA is the most respectable and honest democracy the world had ever seen. "The land of the free" " the american dream" and so on.
Mart no disrespect, but I'm talking about how the US has been portrayed over the last 30ish years, ie my lifetime and no doubt going back to WW2 also.
To ask who they learned from is very vague question and would involve dissecting 300 years of history. It would be interesting to know your response though, rather than just throw a rhetorical question back at me.
I think they learnt how to dominate the globe from us Brits.tha881 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2020 4:59 pmMart no disrespect, but I'm talking about how the US has been portrayed over the last 30ish years, ie my lifetime and no doubt going back to WW2 also.

They just took it away from the British, the US, Germany, Russia all grew after the war, the UK was saddled with debt and lost an Empire........martauto wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 6:55 pmI think they learnt how to dominate the globe from us Brits.tha881 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2020 4:59 pmMart no disrespect, but I'm talking about how the US has been portrayed over the last 30ish years, ie my lifetime and no doubt going back to WW2 also.

The British Empire was the Rothschilds Empire and as such it is stronger than ever. I think also Mart to say they learned from the British is inaccurate. Our royal family is not British for a start.
We Brits get a lot of guilt tripping and blame over the Empire, we were certainly not the first to conquer other territories, and I would also argue that it was not native Britons that had a lust for the pillaging of foreign lands.
Also, white Europeans were not the main perpetrators of the cross Atlantic slave trade.
What is evident is that the US is just another satellite country of the leeches that steal and take ownership of all the worlds resources. The US military just took over from the British military as it has more tax dollars and personnel at its disposal.

The British were the closest in terms of timescale to have enough influence on a new and large upcoming nation but I fully agree with what you have to say.tha881 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2020 5:40 pmThe British Empire was the Rothschilds Empire and as such it is stronger than ever. Britain was the first country to move forward with industrialisation, US businessmen where queuing up to buy in to the expertise of setting up factories powered by machinery, trouble is we took the eye off the ball in the 20th century and they raced ahead.martauto wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2020 5:53 pmThe British were the closest in terms of timescale to have enough influence on a new and large upcoming nation but I fully agree with what you have to say.tha881 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2020 5:40 pmThe British Empire was the Rothschilds Empire and as such it is stronger than ever.
