Hiya I was hoping someone could assist.
The indicators on my 1990 e30 325i sport are not working. Having changed various bits, we believe it may be the indicator stalk with the issue.
The one on my car has R L and up n down arrows printed on it. Some of the ones on ebay also have BC and another arrow.
As per photos.
Question is that are there different types of indicators, or are they all the same. Will the ebay one work on my car?

Yes, slightly different indicator stalks.
The one with BC printed on the end button is designed to work with the on-Board Computer.
I don't have an OBC - so someone else can add their expertise.

Yes, BC one will fit, but would normally command a higher price than the plain one. If your car is a 'sport', then it would normally use the BC one. AFAIK, OBC was part of the 'sport' ready ticked options.
Most likely cause of non working indicators is a hazard light switch in need of dismantling and cleaning - a fairly simple job. Faulty indicator stalk, for a problem that affects both sides of the car equally, is way down the list of suspects.

Mine is sport and has the obc, so should have the bc writing, unless its worn off??
In my case, it's only 1 side indicator not working. So the hazard light switch is unlikely as suspect you think? Could b the stalk? Will try the stalk n c wat happen
