hi again you lot :)

me and my mate want angel eyes
he has e36, i have e30
http://www.surelight.com/content.php?ca ... y%20cheap.

the e36 comes with high brightness ccfl glass tubes (obviosly perfectly round) ready to fit.

the e30 kit comes with a poney bit of glow wire that looks like u have to glue into the glass of your headlight. there is no pre-moulded round thing, its all completely flexible.
i dont want to get this and it look like a wobbly bit of crap that billy bolt on barry boy has DIY stuck to the glass. what have you lot got? id rather do it myself type thing cos im that way inclined. also i got remote start and the lights come on with this so ill wire it up to the angel eyes.

PLEASE HELP ME! :)

right get the Depo headlights, these are a full replacement set of lamps with the angel eyes built in, quality wise its brilliant IMO, night time driving is much improved, projects the light a lot better and the angel glow is very nice too and bright but not in the sense where it looks chav, more so looks like the stock angel eyes you see on those 3/5 series. Can't see the glow fully but u get the idea see if i got more pics.

did em myself with surelight and was fairly simple, went for the blue thang myself which may not be to everyones taste but sod em, they do em in white too so that should look good. Other angel eyes i have seen may be brighter (but to be honest these are bright enough) but my main problem with E30 angel eyes are thet they look crap during the day, the sure light do not as they are so thin. here are a few snaps.

go to articles link at the top of this page, then find the tech articles and i did an article on DIY smoked headlights. follow the proceedure (and smoke your lights while you fit your angel eyes if you want) and simply stick the rings in with black high temp silicone gasket in a tube stuff. I formed the rings and held them together with black PVC tape, then siliconed them in. Do it right take your time and it will look good.

i wired mine into one side of my side lights, so when i park and turn on the parking lights just the blue angel eyes come on. looks very cool IMO

yours look really good mate. i read your article, and then decided i need angel eyes!

what i was worried about is not getting a perfect ring, but you seem to have done it spot on. the aqua is what i would get.
how did you get yours perfectly round? possible you can explain?

thanks :)

the ones i got are around the Ԛ£200 mark but there's no hassle of fitting rings inside the lamp, its all there. All you do remove old headlamps, fit new ones and wire up the angel eyes to the side lights or on a separate switch as I;ve done on mine.

not sure on legality over there on aqua, no one cares here!! :D

to get them round i simply measured the diamter of the inside of the light and rolled them to the same size, and held them together with black pvc tape, taking care to tape straight and even left to right. if you look closely you will see that the main beam lens is slightly bigger then the driving light.

doing the smoked conversion makes them stand out even more, and the cross thingie in the high beam stops the internal reflections making that ring stand out too.

if you need any help just let me know, i will do what i can!!

I really like Angel eyes and would like to hear of more people who have them and where they got theirs and what they think of them, pics if possible.

There was a chap that attended a Lakeside meet with a blue E30 that had some that were bright but looked really good, His name eludes me
