How the hell do you remove "rainex" from the windscreen ??
Its doing my tree in on the 325 , Ive tried all sorts including nail varnish remover but it still wont budge !!
Mart.
Only the E46 cab left now.
Just got too old.

Are you sure it is Rain X not some fancy polish or ceramic coating? Rainx should come off with strong hot soapy water with something with wetting agents in (fairy liquid).
Autoglym glass polish also gets most things off the windscreen
At least your windscreen doesn't have bubbles in the laminate like mine

You could also use Panel Wipe or Traffic Film Remover (TFR), which are available from most good motor factors.

I also found that Mart... it made night driving horrible..I actually did my windscreen with T cut which got rid of the rainex and road film as well,
Hard work but worth it

Yeh the night stuff with very tall led lights in the city is crap like you said
T-cut eh ? worth a try , cheers mate.

My E39 windscreen is ceramic coated now and ive also used Mer Rainaway on top, it used to smear a bit before I had the glass ceramic coated but if I kept buffing it the smears went, I only use it once every 3 or 4 months
