As I've now started investigating the Fuel supply line as possible cause of my high-idle woes I just realised that there's this fella in my fuel line, it looks like a Filter, but is literally straight in-line after the standard canister Fuel Filter....what's that all about then??

Looking at the original fuel supply drawing for the motor there is something called a 'Fuel Strainer'...which I don't have and I dont really have any idea what a "strainer" is as thats what a "filter" does right??

As for the thing in the picture I took, that's not in the drawing either and I just can't work out if it IS a fuel filter, why it would be placed straight in line after the actual standard fuel filter.... basically I'm thinking it doesn't really need to be there and I should just get rid, unless anyone else is the wiser?

8O

Now THAT's something I certainly haven't seen before!

It adds 'tiny particles of tin' apparently......sounds dodgy to me!! Not sure if I'm going to fit another one of those and I'm guessing by the age of it that it's not really adding any benefits to my fuel system at the moment in it's current state!

Thanks for the tip-off,I would have been absolutely lost on that one, didn't have a scooby
