Hi all, need some help I’ve purchased a z3 steering rack as a replacement for my standard 1991 e30 318is it has had a s50b32 m3 engine put in it and has had custom manifold made to suit Will i need a new branch manifold to suit a custom knuckle for z3 steering rack on my e30 is it too close or can I get away with still shortening this knuckle to suit z3 rack with that manifold? I’ve been told by a company it will need a new manifold as the new custom z3 knuckle Would be too close to the manifold. I’ve attached photos, I don’t really want to spend an arm and a leg getting a whole new exhaust and manifold there must be a way to make this work. Any help would be massively appreciated
Thanks

The z3 rack is taller , so the uj is higher.
Probably fouling the manifold.
I've got a e46 rack, used a corsa uj and sum grinding to clear my tubular ss manifold
