Dashboard ruined

So whilst the hot weather is back with us, I thought while I'm waiting for part's to arrive, and response to whether my slave cylinder is seated correctly, the dash was covered in a leather trim and I noticed it was coming away and quite a bit of it too!
So I peeled it off and to my surprise, horror, dismay and upset, l now have this:
The remains of glue residue :surrender:
Cannot get this off :cry:

I heard someone used WD40 to remove the residue but PLEASE try it out on a small bit first mate.

Sorry to see that! I would go and buy another off ebay! I bought an uncracked one for the future, as mine has one small crack. They are not that expensive. A small cracked one is £80-£110 on ebay!

The other point is if you buy a cracked spare for very little money, you can re cover it in leather or vinyl - not a perfect OEM but would look perfect compared to a badly damaged dashboard.

Paul and RTTBMW, I think my only option is a new dash.
I tried WD40 and some other cleaning products, but to no avail :(

Just another thing to add to my list!
