So, I'm taking the engine from my 325i Touring 1989 and putting in my 325i Sport 1987 after a full rebuild.

I'm having trouble choosing a radiator.

The two I have are different,

Should I be replacing the one from the touring or coupe? In the end, I will buy one for both but I need one for the coupe first as that is the current project.

The coupes pipes go out the side and the touring pipes go out the back towards the back of the car.

Is the coolant plumbing different on touring compared to coupes?

Any links or advice welcome.

Hey Mart,

All good thanks, mate. Hope you're well. I'm a bit worn out from this engine series but I'm getting there.

I've done some reading and APPARENTLY, Nissens are the ones to go for...

So, I found this one that I think matches the one that came from the coupe.

It just hit me that I won't be taking every part from the touring engine over to the coupe as it simply doesn't have some of the parts the touring does.

Coupe

Touring

For example, part number 8 - pipe - 11531719788, has been restored but won't be fitted as the coupe does not need it. For whatever reason... This is where I'm getting confused lol.

I think the main difference is the expansion bottle and where it mounts, so you can go with either rad as long as you use the pipes and expansion bottle that match.
HTH :)
