Doing Mr52 - Need help/advice

Hi,
I am currently in the process of doing the M52 swap, I pulled out the old E30 engine loom from the ECU and I noticed there are 2 additional connectors near the ECU main plug as shown in the second picture below. I would to understand what these are for, the white connector is connected to the wire as shown in first picture.

I would like know what this is form is this connector needed for doing the swap?

I thinks its something to do with auto boxes. If yours was manual it will be left loose.

I thought they were for AC equipped cars but could be wrong.

Could be, i remember finding out when i removed my loom. Either way mine wasnt auto or aircon so not needed.

Thanks for the replies, my car was auto and converted to manual

I did some more research into this, I first checked to see if any of the wires on the white connector were connected to the ECU main plug and one of the wires was connected to pin 42 which is Park/ neutral input (auto only).

Had same plug left from my 318i auto, just tucked it away and ignored it.
