A few years back I removed the alarm and reconnected all the cable in my convertible (parasitic battery drain) the one thing I never got around to sorting out is the face that when you open the door you can still power the windows as for some reason that feature stoped so the question is how do I get that working again.
Another question is that if I have to go in and behind the glove box I may as well fit a remote central locking kit so any advice on what to get.
Ta
Electrics some pointers please.

Blue five pin relay behind the glovebox, on the left. Does it click when a door is opened?
If it doesn't, check for 12 volts on the red/yellows at the relay, which comes from fuse 28 via the accessories socket. If this is present check the brown/blue wire that goes off to the door pin switches which switch the relay on by earthing the brown/blue when a door is open.
Haven't fitted one lately, but Rightclick remote locking kits are cheap and have been 100% reliable for me, with durable remote fobs in the 'lozenge' BMW style, and a key blade that can be cut to match your car.

Thanks Brain can always rely on you to point me in the right direction.
I "think" fuse 28 had blown in the past so will check it in the morning.

Weird, the capless lamp that illuminates the fog and light pull had blown, replaced that and all works (fuse 28) had been replaced a while back as it had blow.
