Hi guys looking for some advice on the best way to flush out the cooling system on an m20b25. The car currently has red coolant, is it possible to flush it well enough to return to blue coolant or should I just stick with red now?

If it can be cleaned well enough what is the best method? Do I undo the block drain and then get a hose running into the expansion tank?

I realise that might be a bit daft now as the thermostat wont allow the water through? If I remove the radiator and flush separately where should I run the water?

when i flushed mine out i removed the thermostat, opened the block drain plug & ran cold tap water through it from the hose in the expansion bottle,

refilled it with fresh coolant & distilled water.
