Mart, did you put your VIN into Real oem to get the original part number - I'm not sure its right...

This looks like the right part for a 316 M10 1.1KW starter: part number: 12411715231

Mine has two mounting points as well.
I can`t get in touch with them to ask if the image is generic but.....I did find a lucas one I got from Sweep a few years ago so may just have this one put in.
I just thought for £48 it may have been worth a punt ?

I'm in Rome for the week, but I cheated and flew here, just hadn't the time to drive it, but week after Holland and then another long haul to Verona in Italy, the old cars been very lazy lately , time for some mileage!!

Well I gave it a good try but I did not have the tools for the job !!
It seems like you may need a special spanner or to attack it from the underside both of which were not going to happen.
U-tube was crap
Never mind.
